Along with the rapid development of city construction, reinforced concrete application of special-shaped columns structure is becoming more and more common, especially in reinforced concrete multi-storey and high-rise residential buildings used widely. Although some research institutes of reinforced concrete special-shaped columns launched a series of experimental study and theoretical analysis, and has formulated the related design practices, but because of reinforced concrete column section of asymmetric special-shaped special-shaped columns, cause the ductility of the performance compared with ordinary rectangular column is poor. Further research of special-shaped columns ductility performance still has very important practical significance.On the basis of systematic review of the application of structure of special-shaped columns and research status, ductile related theory of special-shaped columns and research method, the paper studies the effect on the component ductility properties of the reinforced concrete special-shaped columns with different related design parameters by using the finite element analysis software ANSYS. And in view of special-shaped columns of two common asymmetric section - T shape and L-shaped special-shaped columns as research object, this paper carries on the analysis of ductility capability of special-shaped columns component by displacement ductility with different concrete thickness of cover and different column height-width ratio and different stirrup reinforcement ratio, and analyzed the influence on the performance of the law of the ductility of the performance parameters of special-shaped columns component ductility influence.This paper reached the following conclusions: when the other condtions are the same, with variational thickness of cover, column limb height-width ratio, displacement ductility ratio of special-shaped columns gradually reduced;When the stirrup reinforcement ratio of special-shaped columns increases, ductility performance of special-shaped columns increases. Ductility performance of T-shaped section of special-shaped columns is better than L-shaped section of special-shaped columns. Based on the above research conclusion, this paper discussed about design proposal improving special-shaped column ductility.
