Safety relief valve is the pressure relief device on an over pressurized vessel or pipeline. Its primary purpose is protection from personnel injury or death and destruction of property because the pressure on an over pressurized vessel or pipeline is much high to bring the explosion. The safety relief valve is one of the important components on the pressure vessel that is extensively used in the application of power, chemical, petrochemical, etc. Its main part is spring, nozzle, seat, body, etc. The steam safety relief valve should meet ASME section I code, i.e. it should not only meet the severe application of high temperature and high pressure steam service, but also meet the important performance of spring loaded safety relief valve that pre-leakage need to be very close to set point, which is different from the normal spring loaded safety relief valve, so that the key part structure of steam safety relief valve has to be complex to meet the requirement.Aimed at the steam safety relief valve key parts structure and performance, this paper carries out the theory analysis and the detail research work is as follow:1) Collect the technical data about the domestic and foreign steam safety relief valve correlation research results; Focus on the present situation of the steam safety relief valve; Analyze the deficiency in the domestic steam safety relief valve and improvement;2) Analyze the steam safety relief valve trouble reason including the leakage, opening in advance before the set point and blow down after the set pressure arrived, vessel pressure increasing after the steam safety relief valve open, simmer or flutter cause the key part damaged; 3) Use modern machine design analysis software Pro/E to establish the three dimensional full-scale model about the steam safety relief valve; Complete the structure assembly and the interfere examination; Use finite element software to analyze of displacement and stress mechanics capability on the main parts of steam safety relief valve-ISOFLEX seat and nozzle, and then confirm the key part property within the reasonable scope;4) Research the operating theory of the set point adjustment; discuss the effect factor and solution including man-made, ISOFLEX seat area, nozzle, and nozzle & guide ring based on the above-mentioned reason.
