As the performance of motorcycle engine is improved continually. The water-cooled technique has been widely applied in middle-small displacement engine gradually. This paper mainly made some study on Water-cooled system optimization of small motorcycle.Firstly basic principle of the heat transfer and cooling of water jacket is analyzed in theory. which can conduce the optimized design principle of water jacket structure. Also the simulation analysis of the whole water jacket is performed by CFD calculation. So some information about the water jacket flow fields can be obtained as well as the evaluation of the cooling effect can be inferred. And improvement of the modification can be put forwarded if there is some area which can not meet cooling requirement. Then comparative analysis can be performed by CFD calculation.Secondly, radiator is key part in water cooling system of engine, the structure type of radiator is key factor in capability of heat dissipation. Which can highly influence the effect of cooling system. Approach by improving the capability of the radiator is analyzed in theory. Comparative analysis of structure type and parameter of tube-and fin radiator on how they influence the capability of heat dissipation is performed.In the end, this paper made some study on improving the capability of cooling fan which is directly installed on crankshaft. Also the experiment design of the cooling fan is bring forwarded.
