With the improvement of quality of life requirements and the introduction of various regulations.People are no longer just concerned about engine power performance,but Comprehensive consideration of all aspects of economy,emissions,reliability,etc.The application of engine technology and researching on thermal management systems are more urgent.In this paper,simulation studying and optimization of a motorcycle engine thermal management system,Improve the overall performance of the engine.The main work contents are as follows:1.Completed the single product test of Thermal management system,Obtaining performance data of cooling water pumps,radiators,electronic fans,oil pumps,etc.and draw a performance map of each component;Completed the engine heat balance test,mastering the changes in engine cooling water working temperature,engine cylinder temperature distribution,and lubricating oil temperature and pressure changes under different operating conditions;Completed the vehicle bench test,obtaining the distribution of cooling air flow near the engine and radiator.Got the law Cooling airflow changing with vehicle speed variation.2.Building engine cooling system,lubrication system,body heat transfer system,engine operation simulation Interrelated and obtained a complete simulation model of the engine thermal management system.comparing the calculated data with the test data,the cooling air speed,cooling water temperature,lubricating oil temperature,etc.,are in good agreement with the experimental tests.The errors are within 4%.The accuracy of simulation model is good,it could use for practical engineering applications.3.Using the established engine thermal management system simulation model to analyze the influence of the key component parameters and operating parameters on the engine performance.Providing data supports for the evaluation and optimization of the engine thermal management system.To solving the problem of low engine outlet temperature,Changing the cooling water pump flow and fan speed.The optimization calculation should focus on the two special operating conditions,small load and high speed and large load and small speed.4.Rematch calculation of cooling water pump flow and fan speed,The optimized solution reduces the pump flow by 10%,and the fan speed is increased from 2350 rpm to4500rpm.The outlet temperature of the engine under full load basically meets the optimal outlet temperature range of the engine design.Optimized scheme comprehensively improves engine power characteristics,The maximum output power is increased by0.9kw.And ensuring the safety and reliability of the engine,achieving the improvement of the comprehensive performance of the engine.5.Reduced cooling water flow due to engine thermal management system optimization,There is a safety risk of overheating in the area of the engine’s exhaust side nose bridge(the water jacket flow path in this area is narrow,the heat load is high,and the heat dissipation is poor).optimizing and adjusting the water hole area of the cooling water jacket,Increasing the flow rate of exhaust side flow channel,Effectively enhancedthe heat transfer capacity on the exhaust side.Eliminate the risk of overheating of the cylinder head due to system optimization.In this paper,the simulation and optimization of a high-speed gasoline engine thermal management system,from components analysis to system research,put forward an optimization plan,and then to the verification of components.It is a completely engine thermal management system analysis process,with highly engineering practice value.
