Preliminary Studies On The Introduction Of "Two-scale" Urban Design

Urban development is facing problems both efficiency and humanity. The age developed under the guidance of speed, pursued the urban development of"fast, large and most", this inevitably leads to the disjunction of urban and human care. Contradictions between vehicle and human being, efficiency and life have become difficult problems that must be faced by urban construction. How to integrate the human scale into urban scale, humanity scales into vehicle characteristic scale, so as to balance the speed and life is the problem that needs to be concerned. Nowadays, more and more experts and scholars are focusing on these problems, devoting to research and exploration of realizing humanization urban planning.The author wrote this paper for the concern of"Two-scale Urban"viewpoint put forward by Mr. Jiang Difei. This paper extends and completes the connotation of"Two-scale"viewpoint through systematically hackling a series of data regarding"Two-scale"viewpoint. It thoroughly analyzes the case in the aspects of urban, block and construction with the core of"Two-scale". It also attempts to introduce the"Two-scale"viewpoint into urban design and analyzes the possible influence on it. It aims at exploring urban design method of realizing the balance between urban scale and human scale, vehicle characteristic and humanity, efficiency and life from the view of"Two-scale".The paper firstly discusses the origin of the research, confirms the research scope, puts forward the method and frame of the research; secondly, it introduces the domestic research status regarding the viewpoint of"Two-scale", arranges relevant contents concerning the viewpoint. It analyzes the possible influence on urban design after"Two-scale"viewpoint is introduced into it, and verifies the necessity and rationality of its introduction, it summarizes and puts forward the connotation of"Two-scale"viewpoint through conformity and induction; subsequently, it takes"Two-scale"viewpoint as an angle of view, thoroughly analyzes the urban design Program of Xiangluo Bay Business Zone in the aspects of urban, block and construction. It analyzes in several aspects concerning nature environment, land utilization, urban traffic, and open space, etc, and forms relative correct and complete cognitive system of"Two-scale"viewpoint.The final part makes a systematic summarization of the previous paper, meanwhile, it puts forward the construction strategy of"Two-scale"viewpoint in urban design, in order to innovate in design skill and guide the future urban construction.
