As static cone penetration test has become an essential technology in geotechnical engineering in-situ testing, besides, experimental and theoretical research of static penetration mechanism have direct relation to the testing method and the results, therefore, static penetration mechanism research is very meaningful. Due to the uncertainty and complexity of soil properties and the large deformation produced by the penetration, the work of static penetration mechanism research has lots of difficulties. So far, static penetration mechanism theory which is still in the research is far from perfect, so that most of the research is based on the test results. ABAQUS software can be a very good simulation of large deformation, and it also can directly get the stress displacement contour.(1) In this paper, we simulate the process of penetration of the double-bridge probe CPT in ABAQUS. Taking into account the problem of penetration into the soil belongs to a large deformation, we analyze this paper in the large deformation theory that can deal with geometrically nonlinear continuum problem; In this paper, we consider the lateral friction of soil; we achieve vertebral penetration by controlling the penetration depth, This method is called the displacement method.(2) We set up finite element model to friction angle ?= 10 o within the clay as an example, and analyze the radial stress, axial stress, radial displacement of the state, state of axial displacement of soil. We found that the stress state and displacement state is consistent with the actual results, then we can see this model to simulate the problem of CPT penetration is feasible.(3) According to the model, changing the soil friction angle, cohesion, elasticity modulus obtained the reaction force and lateral friction of the cone that are simulated by ABAQUS software, anti-cone tip resistance is the difference between the reaction force and side friction force of difference. The basis of the cone tip resistance and side friction were set up the relationship of the cone tip resistance and friction angle, cohesion and lateral friction, elastic modulus and the relationship, and analyze these relationships. We fit these relationships by the empirical formula, found that relationships are consistent.(4) The CPT rods is saw as a similar circular base, according to the theory of Terzaghi bearing capacity of foundation get to the bearing capacity. We establish the relationship of the bearing capacity with cone tip resistance get by the ABAQUS software, and analyze their relationship, and fit these curve of relationship by the empirical formula given in standard.
