Static pressure pile has been widely used, owning to the advantages of no environmental pollution, controlling of pressure easily, low cost. But, many problems should be solved in the design and construction, such as penetration mechanism of static pressure pile, compacting effect, prediction of capacity and so on. For prediction the bearing capacity of pile by data of CPT, a serial of study on the theory and field test is carried out.The main work and conclusions in this paper are as follows:1. The paper illustrates development, applied range, merits and faults of the capacity theory, cavity expansion method, mixture theory, strain path method, finite element method and so on, based on penetration mechanism of static pressure pile and CPT in the world. And spherical cavity expansion theory is applied in analysis of penetration mechanism.2. For the dependence of static pressure pile and CPT, the paper proposes a scheme by which sectional force of pile can be measured. For the first time, the sectional force of pile is measured during the pile penetration in the field test. After analyzing the data of test, we can get the penetration mechanism of pile and the resemblance of static pressure pile and CPT.3. And the static loading test is tested on the piles, during the course we can get sectional force figure of pile per loading.Then the capacity mechanism of pile and data dependence of static pressure pile and CPT are analyzed.4. Based on the analysis of theory and test data, the paper proposes a method of predicting bearing capacity of static pressure pile with data of CPT. The method is applied in engineering, and the calculate results agree with results of static loading test. So we get an easier and more accuracy method in prediction of bearing capacity of static pressure pile. The method makes up for local standards, and offers credible evidence for the design and construction.
