Air-to-air missile launch safety issue is one of the important subject ofairborne weapons systems. Projector launchers as weapons platform ofair-to-air missile launching, whose technology is mature and equipment isof a huge amount, are major equipment of the modern fighter. ModernProjector launcher design has realized combination, series and modular, theresearch-development cycle and equipment cycle of projector launchers areshorter than before, and breakaway security issue is more important. Forless information of airborne weapons systems, especially themissile-launcher breakaway security, engineering designers make designfailures repeatedly for limited information, which resulting in great loss.Due to differences in carrier aircraft, missiles and test environment ofprojector launchers, the phenomenon and reasons of missile-launcherbreakaway security are varied, while failure analysis of missile-launcherbreakaway security has not summarized and analyzed according to the viewof system. This paper aims to make system analysis of factors whicheffecting launcher launching-breakaway security, abstract from past failurecases, provide launching-breakaway safety principle of each function partaccording to its operating principle, mechanical model analysis, andkinematics analysis, analyze and summarize the breakaway safety factors ofprojector launchers, and provide guidance for the missile-launcherbreakaway security design of projector launcher.This paper analyzes the operating principle and key technologies ofmain component parts in projector launcher, and provides safety designpoints of projector launcher. The main analysis is as follows:1Four typical institutional forms and applicability of plug-breakaway assembly, makes mechanical model analysis of cut-draw breakaway typeand linkage breakaway type, and gives the focus of security designelements.2Two typical institutional forms and applicability of detent assembly,makes mechanical model analysis of vertical detent assembly, gives securitydesign request, meanwhile analyzes the effect of friction coefficient actingon launching-breakaway safety and gives the specific method of stablefriction coefficient.3Three typical institutional forms and applicability of dampingassembly, makes mechanical model analysis of eliminating-clearancedamping assembly, and gives the checking method of launching security.4Two typical institutional forms and applicability of launching rail,makes mechanical model analysis of off-rail orderly and off-railsynchronously, and gives idiographic calculation method ofmissile-launcher interference.According to breakaway-security effecting factor of each typicalfunction part, the paper has summarized the breakaway-security effectingdesign factor of key components, and can provide basis forbreakaway-security design of projector launchers.
