As a loading device for missile steering engine testing, the nonlinearloading system may simulate aerodynamic couple which is acted on thesteering engine surface during flight. Under condition of laboratory, thisload simulator may simulate all kinds of loads which the steering enginesurface suffered in the air, so the actual performance index of steeringengine could be detected. With function of forecast study under laboratoryconditions replacing classic physical experiments, the nonlinear loadingsystem could shorten R&D cycle, save R&D costs, improve reliability andsuccess probability.In addition to analysis of electric and pneumatic loading workingprinciple, this article focus on design and implement methods of missilesteering engine nonlinear loading system, which is based on direct torquecontrol and pneumatic control. This article advances a design proposal ofcombined loading based on synchronous driving direct actuator andproportional pressure regulated pneumatic muscle, describes designengineering realization of four-channel nonlinear loading system. Based oncompletion of electric loading modeling, it analyzes causes of the extratorque and seeks suitable control strategy for inhibition and elimination.Meanwhile its computer software control system adopts integratedmanagement subsystem based on LabWindows/CVI and real-time controlsubsystem based on Windonws+RTX to build computer software controlsystem. Following design, installation and commissioning of the wholesystem, this article analyzes the experimental results and makes designconclusion.The loading control system described in this article has been verified through experiments, as a result, it enables accurate nonlinear dynamicloading on steering engine, shows the design being reasonable and correct.
