At the present stage as energy (oil and natural gas etc) supply crisis, thus it is necessary to establish the storage. Considering the distribution and the geological condition of our country's the salt rock, such as the features of many sections and impurities etc, it has become an inevitable problem to study the difference non-linear deformation of the interlayer rock salt. On this basis, this paper analyses the mechanical properties of rock salt, layered rock salt and the mudstone, and analyses the analytical solutions of the difference non-linear deformation of the interlayer rock salt; Adopt FLAC3D which is a software using finite difference method to simulate the difference non-linear deformation of the interlayer rock salt with numerical method and analyses the stability of the the interlayer rock salt storage. The following are the main research contents and results:1. Research on the mechanical properties of rock salt, mudstone, and the layered salt rock of: By the uniaxial, triaxial compaction experiments on specimen, analyze its strength. Verify that the strength and deformation properties of the layered salt rock are closer to the salt, and under compression, the salt does the mainly contribution to the deformation of the layered salt rock.2. Research on the creep properties of the rock salt, sandwich material (mudstone): By the uniaxial, triaxial creep experiments on specimen, analyze the law of creep strain, and conclusion the rock salt has good extention, and introduce the creep model of rock salt. Based on experiment results, this paper analyses the difference non-linear deformation of the interlayer rock salt.3. Through planar analysis of rock mechanics, compute the value of stress, displacement and the difference deformation of the free body in the interface; when plastic analysis, compute the plastic rings radius.4. Use FLAC3D to simulate the difference non-linear deformation of the interlayer rock salt. Vividly present the stress, the strain and the displacement through figure.5. Analyse on the stability of the the interlayer rock salt storage. Because the rock salt has large rheological property, the shrinkage of cavity is obvious, however the (hard) sandwich's the deformation is smaller, so the deformation of the cavern there was concave. While the sandwich has some effects on the deformation of the storage, it's not a decisive factor.
