Energy storage which is the economic lifelines of National safety has veryimportant strategic significance. Due to the excellent features, rock salt is widely usedas underground storage medium of strategic energy in many countries. As a high energyconsumption country, we have seen the importance of energy reserve for strategicpurpose. So we have speed up the construction pace of the rock bank. However, theconstruction of the rock bank is huge system engineering. To date, there has no maturetheory in building bank stability and safety in laminated salt rock to be referenced indomestic. Based on the numerical simulation, this paper establishes an evaluationsystem of stability of salt rock bank in built cavity period form the perspective of safetysystem engineering, and makes quantitative evaluation come true. Follows are theresearch details.(1) The principle of building caitity as well as its technology is studied. Also, thispaper summarized the optimized parameters in the process of building caverns.(2) Based on domestic and overseas research results with engineering practice, evaluation system of stability of salt rock bank in built cavity period is divided intothree function unit--cavity unit, casing unit and a casing shoe unit form the perspectiveof safety system engineering. Evaluation system of stability of salt rock bank in builtcavity period is constructed.(3) Based on the strength reduction method, FLAC3Dis applied to simulate theprocess of building caverns. In details, this papers studied the following problems, suchas cavity stability, the change of safety factors, and the effect of cavity buried depth, cavity brine pressure, cavity height-diameter ratio and space between one and anothercavity to stability of salt rock bank in built cavity period, which are from five builtcavity stage in built cavity period.(4)Combing other research of the project studying team and numerical simulationdata, the scoring models of each index were built, The weights of evaluation indexes aredetermined by application of AHP.(5)The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model as well as the extension method areapplied to preliminary evaluate the stability of M well to be built. The results of fuzzycomprehensive evaluation model show that M well is relative stable, and the results ofthe extension method show that M well also is relative stable.
