With the development of the power industry, the scale of power system is growing, it has become an inevitable trend that power system will develop from small independent system to big interconnected system. As the distribution of natural resources has locality, especially wind and water is usually far away from electricity load center, so it is necessary to convey electricity to far load center. Under heavy load and long-distance transmission, the power system is easy to occurr low-frequency oscillation due to the interference, the main reason is that power systems are weak in dampening. In order to solve low-frequency oscillations, an additional power system stabilizer in excitation regulator is adopted. Input signal of PSS which is general applied is usually one of electric power and angular speed. But when prime mover power changes, single-input PSS can not distinguish system fluctuations and electric power fluctuations, this will easily leads "anti-regulation". Dual-input PSS based on TMS320F28335 is designed to solve this problem, whose input signals are angular speed of rotors and electrical power.This topic mainly completes hardware platform and software design of double-input power system stabilizer. Hardware platform mainly consists two parts, the first is the design of the external circuits of TMS320F28335, this mainly includes frequency tracking circuit, level conversion circuit, JTAG emulation interface circuit, digital-analog conversion circuit and analog-digital conversion circuit and so on; the second is functional modules, it mainly includes the design of touch-screen, LCD and so on. In the software design, it mainly includes the design of main program and each subroutine program. The function of main program is linking various subroutines which perform different functions and achieving the overall function of PSS. Meanwhile, it still needs to drive various hardware devices. Subroutine program mainly includes sampling algorithm, PSS algorithm, active power algorithm, frequency calculation and so on.Finally, we make the experiments of simulated and simulation interconnection using double-input power system stabilizer, the results of the experiment verify that the double-input PSS can effectively suppress low frequency oscillations and solve "anti-regulation".
