Solar chimney thermal electricity is a good momentum of development of a new energy technology. Building a solar chimney power station with a certain scale needs a high chimney structure. Based on the feasibility study of 500 meters single tower, this paper studies on 500 meters multi-tower chimney structure. This study may provide a reference for the construction of solar chimney power station.In this paper, a program which is suitable for the size of 5 MW power, 500m high three conjoined tower chimney structure is studied and proposed after summarized the characteristics and the current research of the high conjoined structure. Utilizing finite element program SAP2000, different analytical models were established by gradually changing the level of connecting components of the vertical spacing, cylinder thickness, cylinder center distance. The finite element analysis results on different models are compared to probe the changes and the laws of key design and calculation parameters such as the period, top and bottom displacements, overturning moment and so on. The effects which the vertical spacing of horizontal connecting members, cylinder thickness, cylinder center distance changes have on the overall structure of the force and deformation properties is also studied.By finite element analysis and calculating, conclusions are reached as follows: the top of its period and the displacement will increase and the bottom of the overturning moment will reduce as the level of connection with the vertical distance between elements increasing; With the increase of the thickness of the cylinder , its top of the displacement will decrease, the bottom of the overturning moment will increase, but the change of the period is not obvious; with the cylinder center distance increases, the period and the top of the displacement will increase, the bottom of the overturning moment will decrease. The results of this paper show the rule that: the effect results of the force and deformation performance of the structure which the level connects components of the structure, cylinder thickness, cylinder center distance have on the conjoined structure have some differences. In order to obtain better structural performance and economic benefits, optimize matching study of the level of connection components, cylinder thickness and the cylinder center distance should be made in further structure design.
