This dissertation mainly studied on the safety and economic behavior of the boiler where blended Indonesia coal was burn in power plant, and the mixed coal which comprises the Indonesia coal and domestic coal is the research object, used in a power plant in Guangzhou. The purpose of this trial is to improve the economic benefits on the base of the security of the power plant.This dissertation also study the characteristics of the mixed coal such as combustibility, burning-out, slag-bonding, emission, ash-deposit, and abrasiveness, with the help of the conventional coal analysis, thermegravimetry experiment and the experiment of drop-tube furnace. The safety of the power plant is based on the analysis of the pulverized coal system and the boiler heating surface abrasion. The economy of the power plant is based on the analysis of the three aspects, the boiler efficiency and the total quantity of coal consumption and the cost of emission.Conventional analysis shows that the mixed coal industry analysis element analysis and the various data meet linear weighted relations. And the abrasiveness and slagging characteristics of mixed coal is between the two single coals; but the characteristics of ash-deposit isn't follow this law . The No. 2 of domestic coal can significantly improve slagging characteristics of Indonesia coal, but No. 1 can deteriorate Indonesia coal. The results of thermegravimetry experiment and drop-tube furnace experiment show that the combustibility characteristics and the burning-out characteristics of the mixed coal is usually between two single coals. As for emission, the concentration of SO2 emission with the coals'sulphur has close to linear relations; the concentration of NOx emission is more depend on combustion conditions, rather than nitrogen in the coal.The results of safe and economical analysis show that whether safety or economy, the No. 2 of domestic coal mixed the Indonesia coal are better than No. 1 mixed the Indonesia coal. Among them, the blended coals which have highest safety and efficiency is the No. 2 of Indonesia coal mixed with the No. 2 of domestic coal. Obviously, whether the safety or economic characteristics of blended coals, are all close to the characteristics of the single coals used to be blended. The better the characteristics of the single coals used to blended, the higher the safety and efficiency they are.As discussed above, a series of countermeasures are proposed according to the Indonesia mixed coal burning in the power plant, and they ensure the normal operation aimed at pulverized coal system, when the machines are in abnormal situation taking the emergent measures such as the inert gas steam system.
