| As the traditional energy sources become increasingly tense, the newly wind energy source development has become hot, and the offshore wind energy has become the new point of the world's new energy exploitation. With the wind turbine being large-scale and offshore, it is the first choice to install and design self-propelled and jack-up wind farm installation vessel specifically when install wind turbine. This type of ships requires dynamic positioning system to settle its position. So, the dynamic positioning system is of great importance to such type of ships. The object of study in this paper is self-propelled jack-up wind farm installation vessel, and study is carried on about the dynamic positioning system in this article.As a new positioning method, dynamic positioning(DP) system behaves a large difference with the traditional technology. In this article, DP capability polar plot and dynamic time-domain simulation are used as two research tools. Firstly, the components and working principle of dynamic position system is introduced, it includes position measuring system, thruster system and control system. Some issues have been discussed about thruster system, mainly focused on its characteristics, the type of thrusters and the hydrodynamic interference among propellers. The key point lies on forbidden angles between azimuth thrusters and has been taken experimental research. Then, take one specific wind farm installation vessel as the research object and carry out the calculation of environmental load modeling. According to the information of similar ship types and mother vessels, two proposals of dynamic positioning system are worked out, and then, make analysis of capability and effectiveness based on the established environmental load by dynamic positioning capability polar plot. Besides, discuss the impact of current velocity on the dynamic positioning capability, and improve the original program based on the results of analysis for the deficiencies and work out the new project.Finally, time-domain simulation program is taken out with the certain thrust system proposal, and take the impact of different operational directions on dynamic positioning accuracy and consumed power into consideration, then verify the reliability of the dynamic positioning project. This paper provides meaningful reference for design of wind farm installation vessel DP system in practical projects. |
