Based on the analysis of F company current connector development, combining with concurrent engineering theory, this paper researches and builds a new connector development mode for F company. The target of this mode is to shorten the new products development cycle time, meanwhile keep good quality and low cost.The main research contents are as following: Briefly introduces the current status of new product development in F company, then makes research goals and schedule; Bulids a new mode which comprises four sub-items: Software and hardware support platform,Team building and maintenance,Using enabling tools and optimize the concurrency of development activities. For the concurrency optimization, this paper bulids three methods, and sets up the mode, the condition and the detail calculation stpes for each method; At last, uses the new mode for a new connector development.A new connector K72 in F company was finished development totally in about 43 days. It's about 17 days shorter than designd in old development mode by estimation. It saved about 29% development time and achieved the target 20%. The new mode bulided by this paper can be used in most of the other new connector developments in F company.
