In current global energy conservation environment, as a necessity of life, main home electrical appliances, washing machine has a great deal of attention. It is hoped that on the premise of cheap and superior performance in use, energy saving can be done in washing machine. In this context, permanent magnet synchronous motor is gradually being selected as the washing machine's drive motor by global main washing machine manufacturers, because of its features of high power density, energy efficiency and easy maintenance. So this paper researches the permanent magnet synchronous motor control system using in washing machine. According to this application's characters, this design proposes a kind of solution which is permanent magnet synchronous motor drive control system based on discrete-type hall position sensor. This system uses microcomputer as the controller chip and selects discrete-type halls with appropriate estimation method to detect the rotor position of permanent magnet synchronous motor, on this basis, using vector control technology, field weakening control technology and SVPWM modulation technology to drive permanent magnet synchronous motor, so as to make it can achieve washing machine's washing and rinsing requirements.First, the paper analyses and determines structure of permanent magnet synchronous motor using in this system, and establishes surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor's mathematical model. On this basis, it discusses and determines surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor vector control methods using in this system. Secondly, the permanent magnet rotor position estimation method based on discrete-type halls, SVPWM modulation technique and field weakening for high speed are researched. And their realizations are discussed. Thirdly, the system simulation model using Matlab/Simulink is build to complete a system simulation in washing and rinsing states respectively and it is proven feasibile. Finally, a motor control experimental platform based on microcontroller is built according to the simulation of system above and washing and rinsing state experiments are done. It is experimentally proved that the system has good dynamic, static performance and strong practical character.The results of this study has some theoretical and practical guidance to permanent magnet synchronous motor control system applying in the washing machine, improvement of washing machine's efficiency and performance optimization. It also helps further promotion of washing machines'development.
