Research On The Integrating Technology Of Design And Manufacturing Under 3D Environment

The demand of rapid response of enterprises is highly valued due to modern competition. The efficient 3D Design environment combining with design and manufacturing is one of the key techniques. In this paper, the integration of product information and the coordinating between design and manufacturing are studied. The main contents and achievements are listed as follows:⑴For satisfying the integrating requirements of design and manufacturing, the integrating framework model of design and manufacturing under 3D environment was established, and the key techniques of the framework was proposed.⑵The PDM based information integrating and its disadvantages were analyzed. The integration of product information based on 3D model was proposed by introducing MBD. Furthermore, the process information was expended using the XML technique.⑶The process-driven based design and manufacturing coordinating framework was established; the programming mode of the coordinating between design and manufacturing was discussed; the information model based on IDEF1X was developed; the coordinating method by integrating PDM and free process was proposed; and the coordinating between design and manufacturing was accomplished.⑷Based on Pro/Engineer platform, the structure and functional model of the integrating system of design and manufacturing was designed, the key techniques of the system were analyzed and the prototype system was developed. Also addressed was the function of the system software and its application in the end of the paper.
