Green space in surban area is an important component of urban green land system. With theaccelerating pace of urbanization, the negative influence of rapid traffic network on the greenspace system is becoming increasingly obvious.This paper takes the green space in Nanjing eastern suburb as the object of analysis.Theauthor applies3S technology to analyze landscape patterns and ecolcgical services of suburbangreen space under the impact of rapid traffic.By determination of core green space area,severalprotection measures of green space were put forward.The main results are as following:1) The number of landscape patches which make up the Nanjing eastern suburb region is333,and the degree of fragmentation is1.0994.The value of contagion is60.5234,whichshows Nanjing eastern suburb landscape is dominant by several types of landscape.Townlandscape is the dominant type,of which the area ratio is up to42.29%and the patch numberis only33.The area proportion of green landscape is only17.47%,but the patch number isbig as116.A small number of large patches and a large number of small patches composedthe green land,and the distributions of patch size are extremely uneven.2) From2005to2011,the density of rapid traffic in Nanjing eastern suburb increased from1116.27m/km~2to1371.95m/km~2,while αcircuitry index,βline-node ratio and γconnectivityindex are all increased,which show the structure of rapid traffic network is becoming moreand more complex.3) The impact of vegetation cover from the rapid traffic is obvious:the regional vegetationcoverage near rapid traffic is low and reduces quickly,in contrast,the regional vegetationcoverage far away from rapid traffic is high and reduces slowly.4) Distance to roads affects the suitable probability of river deer.The suitable probability ofriver deer in the area far away from rapid traffic is higher than that of near the taffic.5) Biodiversity conservation priorities can be determined by spatial accessibility analysis,whichlocated in the middle of the study area.6) By connectivity analysis,the core green space area can be determined,which includeQinglong mountain and the other23green patches.At last,combining the above research fruit,we find out that rapid traffic construction shouldfocus on the protection of green,and the core green space is the most important area for greenspace protection.
