Curved box girder bridge is the common structure type in freeway interchange and city viaduct because of the advantage of big torsional stiffness,good economy, beautiful shape and so on. With the development of highway construction and the demand in urban overpass construction, curved box girder bridges are more and more used in bridge engineering. However, due to the presence of curvature, the mechanical behavior of curved box girder bridge is more complex than the straight bridge, as well as the calculations are more difficult. Along with the increase of the great Span curved box girder bridge, cross-section shows the characteristics of curvature changing and height changing which makes the depth analysis of curved box girder tension and compression, bending, twisting, warping and distortion of the complex stress state is urgently needed, and that can give appropriate reference theory to the the actual construction of curved box girder bridge.Firstly, Vlasov theory of elastic thin-walled structures, plane curved beam balance differential equation, the relationship between force and strain arc differential equation, eight degrees of freedom finite element method,the basic theory and calculation methods of curved box girder bridge were introduced and deduced in this paper, the development and theoretical basis of finite element method which is the commonly used structure analysis method is expounded. Laterly, with the background of a practical bridge work, using the finite element analysis program Midas, employing variation parameters method and construction phase analysis,the main factors influence the bridge stress are largely calculated and compared. The key to the qusetion such as the impact on Curved box girder bridge stress because of curvature and the construction phase progress is emphasisly discussed. Deformation and stress of continuous curved beam is analyzed and summarized in this paper.By analyzing,the above factors can influence the structure stress state and deformation significantly. In particular, in this paper, simulation analysis of small radius calculation Curved box girder bridge is done,.It is also can be shown that using the data the difference of the height of the left and right plate within the same cross section should be paid particular attention to besides the vertical deformation in the linear monitoring. This work can play reference value in construction monitoring of Curved box girder bridge.
