With the rapid development of digital substation, electronic current transformer instead of traditional current transformer, play a huge role in high voltage intelligent utility network increasingly. It can provide digital interface to help electrical secondary system equipment integration, involving great changes.For the importance of electronic current transformers, this thesis introduce the classification of ECT and the difference between electronic current transformer and traditional current transformer. Based on the analysis of domestic and overseas development, this paper has designed the whole structure of ECT framework. Study of electronic current transformer based on PCB Rogovski Coil, analysed the current sampling, digital transmission, serial data recovery and error correction process.In order to obtain the best design methods and parameters, detail comparative analysis has done before power supply system, sensor head, sequential control circuit solutions. PCB Rogovski coil is used to make sensor head, it has simple wiring, good thermostability and anti-jamming.In addition, the thesis construct the whole system hardware circuit, including power circuit, sensor head, AD sampling circuit, fiber optic transceiver circuit and signal processing circuit and so on. Circuit performance test and error analysis have been dong.According to the simulation and experimental results, PCB Rogovski coil electronic current transformer has better current sampling and signal recovery effect, it has completed the experimental design objectives.
