Along with the development of national economy, the use of the underground space and the need of the irrigation works promote the development of diaphragm wall projects. The diaphragm wall grabs are the commonly used equipment for the diaphragm wall projects. At present, the technology of the diaphragm wall grab is monopolized by developed countries such as USA, Japan, etc. The equipment price is expensive, and the service period is long, which restrict the economic develop. As the needs of the economic develop, the design and analyzing of the diaphragm wall grab is very valuable.First, this thesis explains the using background of the diaphragm walls. There is more and more use of the diaphragm walls as the development of our country. And the use area is not only in the range of seepage prevent wall. This thesis also introduces the main internal factories of the diaphragm walls and their manufacture status.This thesis stresses the special parts of the diaphragm wall grab such as undercarriage, mast, winch, cable roll, crab, etc. The equipment design demand, safety, and the stability are analyzed to ensure the feasibility of the whole design project.The thesis analyses in detail the focus control part of the diaphragm wall grab ---winch synchronism, automatic hose reel. The synchronism control of dual winches is the core control of the diaphragm wall grab, and it influences the machine performance definitively. To the hose, the hose automatic control system solves the question of the match of the hose speed and the pump flow. The core control system of the diaphragm wall grab is analyzed from theory to practice, and this provides the academic basis of the reliability and feasibility of the machine. At last, brief introduction of the project is provided of the grab of XCMG.Refer to the information, the internal literature about the diaphragm wall grab is not comprehensive enough. So this thesis is valuable to the diaphragm wall grab vocation. It is hoped that this can give the product design of the diaphragm wall grab some use for reference in some ways.
