With the development of ocean exploitation and in order to meet the requirements of military applications, the working depth of submersible and underwater plant is growing.As an important drive components of underwater plant, the requirements of deepwater motor sealing technology is continually improving. The motion, force and torque between the active magnetic rotor and slave magnetic rotor of magnetic-driven sealing mechanism is transmitted through magnetic force coupling. The active magnetic rotor is driven by motor, and magnetic force drive the slave magnetic rotor through isolation units, then it results in achieving non-contact torque transmission and static seal instead of dynamic seal, which can solve the problem of shaft seal leakage of mechanical transmission mechanism very thoroughly. So the target of no leakage in the working process and motor overload protection is realized.In this article, according to requirements of seal for an deepwater motor of an underwater device, the overall structure of the program of magnetic-driven sealer is designed, and its magnetic structure is determined. The arrangement of magnet is researched and determined. A reasonable aspect ratio of the magnetic circuit is chosen. The problem of reasonable matching between thickness of permanent magnet and the arc of active surface of magnetic pole is analyzed, and the operating point of permanent magnetic materials is determined. The calculation of torque of magnetic circuit, power matching and correction are studied, the design and calculations of the torque of magnetic-driven sealer are completed,and the dimension of the overall structure is designed. Permanent magnetic materials, soft magnetic materials, yoke steel material and the materials of isolated sets are analyzed respectively, at last, the materials is chosen.The design of isolated sets is completed. The eddy current loss and the hydraulic friction loss which exists in the work of magnetic-driven sealer are analyzed and calculated. Based on the calculation of analytical method and using ANSYS software,the magnetic circuit of magnetic-driven sealer is simulated and analyzed. The magnetic field distribution of modle is analyzed and studied when the angle difference, the number of the magnetic poles or thickness of yoke steel is changed respectively. The simulation results are consistent with the theoretical calculation.The Information Industry Quality Supervision and Inspection Center is commissioned to complete the experiments and tests of product prototype, and experimental results show that the performance of product prototype of magnetic-driven sealer meets the design requirements.
