With the rapid development of the power system, the power quality is seriously polluted because a large number of power electronic rectifier and nonlinear loads are used in the power system. Power quatlity has become the issues that are concerned increasingly by the power sector and users, so power quality monitoring and analysis is imperative. Therefore, power quality monitoring system is designed based on dual CPU constituted by DSP and ARM9 in this paper.In this paper, the concept of power quality indicators and detection methods are introduced at first, and fast fourier transform method in power quality analysis is studied mainly. Because the FFT alogtithm exists the barrier effect and the spectral leakage problems, this paper proposers windowed peaks line interpolation FFT algorithm, and uses MATLAB7.1 to simulate the improved algorithms.In this paper, hardware platform is builted using DSP and ARM9 as the core processor, and voltage/current transformer circuit, AD converter, SD card, memory circuit, LCD display circuit, Internet communication circuit are designed. In the software design, embedded Linux operating system is transplanted at first, and the SD card driver is compiled for the site data storage, and then Web server is transplanted for achieving remote monitoring, and the interactive interface is designed using Qt/Embedded, and finally the system is experimental test.
