| With the growing importance of transport problems, rapid development of information technology and improvement of transport theory, real-time adaptive traffic signal control system has become the trend of the control system's development, also an important part of the intelligent transportation system. In this paper, the characteristics and working principle of the existing urban traffic signal control systems, especially adaptive signal control system carried out detailed analysis and summary, and point out existing problems in adaptive control system. On this basis, this paper proposes a real-time feedback adaptive traffic signal control system architecture model, and the appropriate control strategy in this framework. The method is divided into two levels:intersection control level and network control level. Intersection control level uses a dynamic programming based adaptive algorithm. Network control level uses an optimization algorithm based on conflict decision tree, through the use of A* algorithm, rolling optimization and feedback control strategies to enhance the real-time, reliability and robustness of the algorithm. The VISSIM simulation experiment results show that the proposed real-time feedback adaptive traffic signal control system were significantly better than the traditional method on vehicle delays and other indicators. |
