As the process of urbanization in China has accelerated,the demand for urban transportation has been growing.At the same time,urban traffic congestion has become an important issue that restricts the development of urbanization.In addition,the unreasonable control of traffic signals exacerbates of urban traffic congestion.It's significant to design a regional signal coordination control scheme to ease urban traffic congestion.Aiming at traffic jams and low traffic capacity,based on short-term traffic flow forecasting,this paper proposes a regional traffic signal coordination control method.The traffic flow state division method,the traffic control sub-zone division method,and the regional traffic signal control method are performed.1.A single intersection adaptive control method based on short-term traffic flow prediction method is proposed.Through the historical traffic flow data at the intersection,the state division method and signal cycle model for the intersection are determined,and the traffic condition prediction value at the intersection of the next time period at the intersection is obtained to dynamically adjusted signal timing plan.2.A dynamic control subdivision method based on the similarity of adjacent intersections is proposed.The similarity of adjacent intersections is used as the index to divide the traffic control sub-area of the controlled area road network..Based on this,combined with the short-term traffic flow forecasting method,the dynamic control subdivision method is obtained.3.A regional traffic signal cooperative control method based on subdivision of traffic control area is proposed.Signal control methods are selected according to the actual situation in the traffic control sub-zone,combined with the selection of key trunks and the coordinated control of mains green waves,a coordinated traffic signal control method for regional traffic signals is proposed.Simulation experiments on the single-intersection adaptive control method and regional traffic signal cooperative control method prove that these two methods can reduce the average delay time of the vehicle through the control of traffic signals.
