With the development of science and technology, the application of hydraulic drive and control system expanded rapidly, and the property and control accuracy continuously improve. As one of the main types of engineering machinery, excavator plays more important part in our economic development. But how to improve the control precision of excavator, strengthen the environmental adaptive capacity and improve the dynamic quality, are the problems solved urgently by the excavator manufacturers in our country. The use of computer simulation technology can not only forecast the system performance, reduce the design time, but also can analyse and evaluate the whole system. Then it can optimize the system, shorten the design cycles and improve the system stability.In this paper, a certain type of hydraulic excavator is used as an prototype, and the variations of mechanical system and hydraulic control system in excavation are studied. The components of mechanical system and hydraulic control system are firstly analysed, and the resistance of the excavation is calculated. Then using the 3D design software Pro/E and mechanical system dynamic analysis software ADAMS, the physical model of hydraulic excavator working device is established, and the response of mechanical system is studied with the simulation of kinematics and dynamics. Through the hydraulic control system analysis software EASY5, the hydraulic system models of the working device are set up and the static and dydamic characteristics of some hydraulic loops and the whole system are analyzed. Based on the research above, the mechanical-hydraulic integration model of excavator working device is established which is the real model of the whole system. The co-simulation of mechanical system and hydraulic system is realized. The more accurate dynamic characteristics of machine is obtained by analysing the interaction response between hydraulic system and mechanical systems.It can be obtained from the simulation and analysis that through this method it can shorten the design cycle and avoid design errors in the simulation of excavator and other engineering machinery hydraulic system by means of this method. It provides a new method for the optimization design and overall performance analysis of the engineering machinery hydraulic system, which provides a new idea of design for the development of new product and helps to save a lot of manufacturing costs and time so as to greatly reduce the development costs.
