Hydraulic excavator is an important engineering machinery.With reliable, high performance Hydraulic was widely used in mining, coal, infrastructure and other earthworks. Hydraulic excavators play a significant role in China’s economic construction. Excavator working device and hydraulic systems work in harsh environments. So the excavator manufacturers of our country not only need to improve the dynamic characteristics of the hydraulic system, but also enhance the quality and reliability of the work device. The excavator manufacturers can reduce test costs, shorten the design cycle and improve excavator design level through the simulation on computer.The variation for the mechanical and hydraulic systems of working device was studied at excavator working. The 3D model of Excavator was built in solidworks. The model established in Solidworks was imported into ADAMS, The constraint-driven was redefined in ADAMS. The kinematic model was built after simplify the model. Kinematics simulation of excavator working device was studied after model was built. The bucket movement envelope and the main operating parameters of the excavators were obtained. Dynamics simulation was studied after load was applied in the ADAMS model. The fore situation of the hinge point was get in excavator working bodiesThe finite element model of the boom arm was built in ANSYS/ Workbench, The force of dynamic simulation of three conditions was loaded to the finite element model under maximum moment. The strength of boom and arm was checked and the structure was improvement. Boom and stick meet the strength requirements by optimizing the structure.The hydraulic system and mechanical model of excavator working device was built in AMESim. The co-simulation between Machinery and Hydraulic and dynamic response of the hydraulic system was studied in AMESim. Hydraulic system model was built in AMESim, Dynamics model was built in ADAMS, The co-simulation was studied through two software.The dynamic response of the working process of the hydraulic system was studied in the co-simulation. The new ideas and methods were provided for optimized design of working device and hydraulic systems.
