The City Plaza Square Environmental Design Research Based On Human Ideas

City plaza functions as a place that provides an indispensable platform for external space in modern cities to offer recreation for the citizens, to contact meetings of a public gathering places, to promote exchanges between people and to enrich the cultural life of urban residents. It is an important part of the environment, and plays an important role. According to it's effect in the construction of cities, in recent years, a wave of the building of city plaza has been started in many cities in China. However, few of them can be descript by crowds, enjoyable, unforgettable, it is because that the designers ignore the needs of human behavior and psychological experience frequently, human beings are the users of the construction, stay away from them, everything will be no point. Besides, the lack of the culture of geography and history leads the misunderstanding of the design of city plaza.The city plaza's target group is those citizens who live nearby as well as the ruler of it. So the humanization of the design is an important index of the quality of the design of plazas. In this paper, the writer use living environment for the guidance of scientific theory, start from the city plaza and human recreation as basic concepts, through the psychological, behavioral, and cultural needs and understanding the space environment, use all above as a theoretical basis of design. According to the field research of Peace Plaza in Hefei, the paper discovers some design problems of the city plaza, further, descript the humanization design of the space environment of the city plaza. As a conclusion, the paper founds its point and theory basing on the previous study, offers a reference for the humanization design of the city plaza in the future.
