| Children's products is an important branch of modern goods, thus the importance of the packaging design of children's products is becoming increasingly evident. When designing children's product packaging, we should not only follow the basic design rules, but also consider from the perspective of children's physical, psychological and parents' aesthetics. Excellent packaging design of children's products, which is specific and user-friendly, adapts to children's physical and mental characteristics from the shape, pattern, color, text, materials, and other aspects. Packaging design of each era has a distinct mark of the times, so children's also has its own cultural and regional. It is the developing direction of national packaging design, and also the important factors to increase the attractiveness, competitiveness and appealing of goods that introducing national characteristics into the packaging design of children's products.In this paper, visual elements in the packaging design of children's products are described combining with children's consumer psychology and theory of design art, regional and national characteristics are included. Meanwhile, the different visual aesthetic latitude and emphases are classified, described and compared. The performances of the various visual elements are analyzed, for their specific style. Referred to the current status from home and abroad, it points out the shortage of the domestic packaging design of children'products. The lack of national characteristics has become an important reason of restricting the domestic packaging design of children's products. A new developing direction is also pointed out with root analysis of the lack of national characteristics in domestic packaging design of children's products. |
