Fiber reinforced polymers (abbreviation FRP) have been successfully applied to buildings, bridges and concrete in civil engineering for high strength, high elastic modulus, light weight and corrosion resistance of superior comprehensive performance. With improvement of the polymers performance, it is focused on strengthening the tensile steel structure and increasing the residual fatigue on the reinforcement of steel structure, but lack of reinforcement research on torsion bar. This work carries out strengthening the torsion axis, as follows:(1) Static torsion experiment is made to reinforce the torsion axis with FRP, chooses 45# steel of plastic materials and cast iron of brittle materials, and designs reasonable FRP pasting scheme. Many factors have an influence on effect of reinforcement, the pasting scheme, pasting layer, anchorage measure, cementing agent type and FRP type. FRP is analyzed in improving the mechanical properties, increasing the torque and limiting the torsion deformation. The results show that FRP has an effect on improvement of mechanical parameters of torsion axis and limiting of torsion deformation significantly.(2) Torsion fatigue experiment of torsion axis is made, and gave some suggest for torsion fatigue test and improvement measures. It is feasible for FRP on strengthening torsion bar by theoretical analysis, and makes a foundation for further research.High temperature wear resistant coating of boiler is used to repair the damaged refractory area of circulating fluidized bed boiler quickly, and carbon fiber reinforced polymers (abbreviation CFRP) can strengthen the wear resistant coating. CFRP is made to strengthen wear resistant coating of boiler by experiment research in this work after high temperature. It includes the bending of the refractory and tensile of wear resistant coating with CFRP. Research results show that FRP has an obvious effect on wear resistant coating on the boiler.The rotary air preheater is an important equipment of modern power boiler at present, the high leakage rate of rotary air preheater has directly effect on the security and economy of boiler set. Flexible seal is a new-style seal of air preheater. Flexible seal can decrease the air leakage and increase the efficiency of boiler set by achieving zero clearance sealing. It studies the seal structure of flexible seal through the experimental method and analyzes load-diaplacement relation of 4 types flexible seal. The results show that U-type flexible seal is the most sutible for air preheater.
