With the development of rail transport and the improvement of people's living conditions, people's concept of space and time has a profound change of the railway transport with the new requirements. As one of the important parts locomotive bogie, which is used to deliver a variety of loads, and use to ensure adhesion which is generated between wheel and rail traction. Bogie structure's properties of the good or bad, directly affect locomotive traction power, running quality, wheel-rail wear and train safety. So the promotion of the bogin is the key of the development of high-power power car bogie freight locomotives. This kind of AC drive freight electric locomotive which is in full reference to the locomotive development, and its application and design experience, uses a co-co-axis, mainly constituted by the architecture, axle, wheel pairs, a series of suspension, two departments of suspension, brake, drive transmission, traction and other components. The bogie is developed with features of high speed, traction, technological advanced and reliable, and easy maintenance, it will fill the blank of high speed three-axis AC drive freight electric locomotive bogie fields in our country, which has a essential significant of the society and the the economicFirstly, by using 3DSMAX the bogie is assembled in accordance with the production process, in order to understand the structure clearly and lay the foundation for analysis pass the virtual assembly design of the bogie.Secondly, analyzing the static strength and the fatigue strength of the bogies frame, the strength weakness of the frame can be found. It can be concluded that whether the results meet the design requirements or not.In this study,the researcher use SOLIDWORKS to simplify three-dimensional model of the frame.Then use ANSYS to establish the correct finite element model of the locomotive bogie frame. Then confirm the calculation of load and operating conditions, with the use of ANSYS for solving, select the structure welding seam according the analysis of the rezults and strength assessment.Seen from this paper, there are important practical values of designing the frame with finite element method, and the strength of the bogie frame can satisfy the design standard. The work and conclusions of this paper will be helpful to improve the future design of the bogie, and pave the way for the optimization work in the future such as global optimization and multi-object optimization.
