With the global energy crisis, the development of electric vehicles to replace the fuel vehicles has become an inevitable trend. Electric vehicles can saving energy, protecting environment and reduce the noise. A large number of electronic control units (ECUs) are distributed over a multitude of CAN systems which are connected via embedded gateway. CAN/LIN bus technology can reduce the network cost and simplify the wiring, become the main structure of the body control network. The gateway controller is the core of the vehicle control network as information exchange center; its performance has an important influence on the network. This paper design an EV gateway based on CAN/LIN bus and an application layer protocol based on SAEJ1939. The network contain by the central signal processing unit, drive motor control unit, LCD unit, battery management unit and vehicle comfortable system structure. The scheme has the features like simple structure, low cost and high stability.This paper have introduces the working principle of the gateway, completed the design of CAN/LIN gateway hardware circuit and software program, uses ARM controller (LPC2919/01) and CAN receiver (CTM1050T), and CAN driver design and commissioning, gives part of the CAN/LIN node solutions.This paper used hardware nodes and simulation software to testing analysis, proposed solutions like body console, engine and locks control system based on CAN/LIN bus. The design can provide reference model for the display instrument, car seats conditioning &heating, intelligent wind shield wiper and GPS navigation device.
