With the development of communication technology and much application of microprocessor and IC in auto, auto electronics advances toward networking. Currently network in vehicle has become one of the most popular research and application hotspot in auto electronics field.LIN is one network in vehicle of low cost. It complements current multiple network in vehicle. Overseas the specification research on LIN has been done much and presently great efforts are being made to make it more perfect. At the same time practice application technology on LIN also fast advances. But interiorly the research on LIN is just at starting point. So in our country it is necessary to speed up to research and develop application system on LIN.In this paper up to date LIN specification version-LIN2.0 is lucubrated and carefully analyzed. And through a auto body network composed of four door module and one central body control unit, several network design scheme using LIN is discussed.Auto seat and mirror are two important units of body part. With auto being required to be more comfortable and safe, in some top or middle grade cars there has been a kind of memory seat-mirror system. Currently this unit is based on the project employing single strong MCU(micro controller unit) with wiring harness. In this paper one novel system design scheme based on LIN network is presented and corresponding hardware circuit and software program is developed. Through the result of system debugging and running it expressed that the system scheme satisfies the design requirement very well and it makes good use of LIN network' s advantage in distributed control.
