The good or bad performance of vehicle depends not only on the engine, but also relies heavily on power transmission,Especially the common work and matching of engine and hydraulic torque converter have a great relationship for the power performance, fuel economy and emission level of vehicle.As for construction vehicle, such as mine dump truck, the daily work environment is mining area,so the environment is extremely complex, the load of the truck often change between the maximum and minimum data,besides,it can also cause shifting frequently and other issues.As aresult, the driver's labor intensity will increase greatly,their intention will be distracted.In addition, if the vehicle is under the influence of extremely cold weather, with the use of manual transmission, the controlled shift cable will be frozen,so the shift cannot be changed.Therefore, in order to reduce the operator's labor intensity, focus their attention on the job and reducing the influence of the external environment, most of the construction vehicles are using automatic transmission to replace the manual transmission,the use of automatic transmission in construction vehicles in future development is an inevitable trend.Electronically controlled hydraulic automatic transmission can change shift automatically by the control of different parameters according to vehicle driving conditions. Vehicles equipped with automatic transmission can change shift automatically to improve the ease of operation of vehicles, to reduce the intensity of the driver's work,as a result, improving the operating efficiency of vehicles.The precondition of electronic-controlled automatic transmission to change shift automatically is that it has a determined shift schedule. When the vehicle reaches the pre-determined shift condition during driving it will change shift automatically according to shift schedule. As the heart of electronic-controlled automatic transmission--electronic control unit (ECU), which stores the shift modes of vehicles, it can change shift automically according to your choice of operating modes,with the control of different parameters. As such, it appears that the formulation of a shift schedule is the key to study on antomatic transmission. Therefore, this article studies on the improving of shif schedule about the automatic transmisson equipped with the mine dump truck.In this article, the transmission gearbox classification is introduced first.After massive literature reading, the developing process and the present research situation about the automatic shift technology in the domestic and foreign applied on construction vehicle is described.Secondly, introduces the composition and the role of every parts in the hydraulic control of automatic transmission and the electronic-controlled hydraulic automatic transmission is being introduced.And make an emphatical introduction on the electronic control hydraulic automatic transmission gearbox control principle some key technologies of the electrical- controlled hydraulic automatic transmission, in order to make a basic theroy for the research in the following chapters.Then, making a detailed introduction of the numerical model(including the output torque,fuel and power model)for the engine-the vehicle's power source.There are also the introduction of the characteristics of the torque converter and its performance analysis. and based on this to study on the together-work and matching of the engine and torque converter.According to the difference of gear-shift control parameters, automatic shift schedule will be divided into three categories (single-parameter shift schedule, two parameters shift schedule and three parameters shift schedule),and making a detailed description.then study on the optimal power performance and the best economic shift schedule using the two parameters shift schedule-the more mature method currently. Finally ,establish the entire vehicle transpor kinematics vehicle simulation model, including the engine, the hydraulic torque converter and the transmission gearbox, the logical judgment of gear-shift,based on this simulation model to confirm the shift schedule is valible or not.
