Ship Preliminary Design System (hereinafter referred to NUCAS system) is a preliminary design for the ship's integrated system which developed by MARIC.NAPA system is a command-based ship design system, which adopted a set of flexible command system, the system can provide the basis of combination of functions,, particularly for long been engaged in the preliminary design of the ship, and want to customize the system's user needs.In this paper, through the NAPA system is the analysis, in NUCAS system, to achieve a similar macro-based model means rapid order, through the conversion interface, to further expand the scope of the application system, in order to achieve the introduction of independent software and complementary software to maximize the role of the introduction of software to help expand NUCAS system.First of all, this article details the overall performance of the system part of Napa hull model of the creation of the main order form, through graphics and examples of the system introduced Napa linear part of the command hull forms, the order form of the compartment definition and the loading definition.Secondly, the simple system Nucas introduced the general framework of the structure, focusing on the setting line Nucas generated, including the lines used to generate wire-frame model of the hull design,the lines on the Nucas system-generated data structure described in detail. The article also detailed describe the way of the compartment definition and the loading definition in Nucas system, explain and describ these two parts of the data structure. Conversion for the program has laid a solid foundation.In order to achieve the conversion process, Nucas system in the establishment of a set of command conversion architecture, in this architecture, realiz the basic information system conversion of the Nucas hull and Napa hull, the conversion of linear hull,also achieved the definition of compartment-dimensional model and calculation of the conversion module should allow the conversion of the main parameters; achieve the conversion of the distribution of the empty weight, the conversion of the load state in the definition of the loading conversion.Through the conversion process,achieve more than by the Napa system to Nucas system hull intact stability of the conversion model. Provided by the system function, for practical work in this article, Nucas system need to Lloyd's Register approved models of some features to quickly create the conversion process used to verify the feasibility of the procedure, fully demonstrated the value of the conversion process work in this paper involved.Finally, this paper summarize the quick modeling technology of the preliminary design of the ship facing Napa order,and the technology further development.
