With the rapid implementation of digital technology in the shipbuilding industry,many international companies developed a variety of ship design software.The application of these shipbuilding software not only makes the design and construction of the ship more intuitive,but also emancipates the human brain on a certain level,so that designers can join their own ideas at any time in the design process.CATIA is an international popular 3D design software,the software has become the preferred design of international aviation industry in recent years,the development in the field of car and ship is very quick,the software has powerful ability of hybrid modeling,detail expression and function model of virtual simulation software compared with other strong.Its various functions and characteristics are in line with the requirements of modern shipbuilding.The development concept is also in line with the trend of 3D digitalization of the model in today's society.For this reason,more and more shipyards are interested in it,and are gradually invested in the design and application.NUCAS is a domestic self developed ship preliminary design software system.It adopts the system platform of "system platform + professional module",whose functional characteristics basically meet the requirements of preliminary design of ship.Use in the NUCAS system,hope to be able to import the model of CATIA system to NUCAS system,solve the problem of poor software modeling ability,quickly get the corresponding hull model;while open channel between CATIA and NUCAS for data exchange system,realize the model data exchange between different software,solve the problem of data transmission between the two,make full use of the advantages of software in ship design,application software.In this paper,the ship model data interface technology based on NUCAS system and CATIA system is mainly studied.Through the analysis of the data structure of two software models,the interface of the model data in CATIA directly into the NUCAS is developed.The main contents are as follows:1.The application and current situation of CAD data exchange technology are analyzed,and a variety of CAD data exchange methods that are popular at the present stage are analyzed in depth.2.A variety of data extraction methods which are supported by the ship model data and system of CATIA system are studied,and the advantages and disadvantages of various methods are compared,and the data extraction methods applied in this paper are selected,and the product model data of the software is studied in the form of an example.3.The system framework and data description method of NUCAS system are studied,and the tool keyword combination of the software is analyzed.4.The C++ programming technology is used to write the data exchange system between the NUCAS system and the CATIA system.Finally,the feasibility of the data exchange system developed in this paper is verified by the model example.
