Analyse And Design Of High Pressure Mud System On The Deepwater Semi-submersible Drilling Platform

The drilling system is the center part of the whole platform system.As high pressure mud system is an important part of the drilling system,we must also pay attention to it.High pressure mud system consists of high pressure mud pump,mud pump Nitrogen pack,mud standpipe manifold,kill&choke manifold and gas separator.of all the equipment the high pressure mud pump is the center part,which provide the power for the operation of the whole high pressure mud system. Analyse and design of high pressure mud system is recognized significantly as the increasing depth of deepwater drilling and the improving technology are attached importance to.Therefore analyse and design of high pressure mud system by requirement of production is signality.The main content of this paper is as follows:1 The main design plan of the high pressure mud system is improved, The improvement program is provided by referring the requirements from the manufactures and the rules in the project preliminary specifications.2. Strength design for the componts of the system especially straight pipe is made.The existing strength design methods and compare the results systematically by two respects:thin wall pipe and thick wall pipe is summarize,and the links among different methods are certify by therapy.3. Stress analysis based on certification of the pipe system in the high pressure mud system and safty evaluation for the pipe system are accomplished4. Optimization design method for the high pressure mud system is given.Research for parameters of the high pressure mud system optimization for the lowest cost in drilling well is also achieved.
