With the development of social productivity, all the countries strive for ocean more and more intensely, And people pay more attention to the seakeeping capacity of ship. Therefore, new ship types continuously emerging, at the sime time, trimaran attract more attention. Compared to the conventional mono-hull, high-speed trimaran has more superior hydrodynamic performance. To get a good wave resistance, generally, trimaran adopts long and thin body between two additional sides which can increase its transverse stability. With deeping study and model test of trimaran, Researchers concluded that the trimaran have better wave resistance but greater pitch and heave when two side bodies were decorated in the stern.T-foil is used to reduce pitch and heave meanwhile improving sea keeping capacity of ship in recent years.It was successfully applied in mono-hull. In the thesis, numerical simulation and model test was together applied to study the influence on seakeeping and resistance of high-speed trimaran after installing T-foil.Modern computer development greatly promoted the development of CFD which play a more important role in ship design nowadays. The drag, lift performance of mono-hull and ship with T-foil were calculated by FLUENT which is the commercial software of CFD. And the flow field details around these ships were captured. The corresponding method of grid generation, convection discretization form and turbulence model were selected by discusion the computed reslults of mono-hull resistance. The calculation scheme of high-speed trimaran was confirmed which was applied to predicte the performance of ship with T-foil. Drag, lift performance and flow field details of ship with T-foil in different conditions were calculated.The series of model tests was performed to check the reslults of numerical simulation above. And some results such as heave amplitude, pitch angel and vertical acceleration at stem, amidship, stern were obtained at the same time, which were difficultly calculated by numerical mthod. The computed drag was fitted with experience results. Good reliability is testified for numerical simulation scheme mentioned in this paper. The law of installation position, distance from the bottom and pitch level wing angle which affect seakeeping of triamaran was summarized by analyzing the datum of resistance and seakeeping getting by model test. These jobs laid a foundation for T-foil applied on high-speed trimaran.
