The Towbarless Aircraft Tractror (TLT) is a kind of special support vehicle used for scheduling aircraft. When the towing operation is carried out, the tractor and the aircraft form a tractor-aircraft system through the on-line unit. The braking ability of tractor-aircraft system is directly related to the operational safety of the system. In this paper, the braking force distribution of towbarless aircraft tractror when it has the optimal braking ability is studied. And the braking force distribution of aircraft tractor's front-rear tires and the relationship between braking force distribution and braking deceleration when the tractor and the tractor-aircraft system have optimal braking performance are obtained. The contents are as follows:The means about the braking force distribution of The Towbarless Aircraft Tractror and tractor-aircraft system is researched. In this paper, on the basis of the vehicle braking force distribution theory, the largest braking force formulas were deduced.Simulation models of The Towbarless Aircraft Tractror and The tractor-aircraft system were Established by using Multibody System Dynamics software ADAMS.The experiments simulating The Towbarless Aircraft Tractror and tractor-aircraft system respectively braking process with three different braking decelerations and contrasting the front-rear tires of aircraft tracor braking forces were designed, then try to find out the regular patterns and verify themIt was concluded that:the braking force distribution of aircraft tractor's front-rear tires when the tractor and the tractor-aircraft system have optimal braking performance has no relationship with braking deceleration; The Towbarless Aircraft Tractror can achieve optimal braking performance when the ratio of braking force of tractor's rear tires to the total braking force is about 0.6; The tractor-aircraft system have optimal braking performance when the ratio of braking force of tractor's rear tires to the TLT's total braking force is about 0.72.
