In order to ensure the safety of the structure of the bridges, provide necessary information for the maintenance and management of the bridges, and accumulate practical information and data for research and development of the bridges, domestic and foreign bridges have continually built Bridge Health Monitoring System in recent years. In this thesis, the Health Monitoring System of Ping Sheng Bridge in Fo Shan is taken as research background, and the thesis has studied some aspects of the system.Followings are the results:(1) Set a finite element model of Ping Sheng Bridge by using general finite element software ANSYS, and analyze the dynamic characteristics of Ping Sheng Bridge.(2) Modify the optimizer PS-ldg which is based on coding genetic algorithms. This program can solve the fixed restricted problem of sensor number in the optimization process of coding genetic algorithms effectively , making the optimum arrangement satisfying the engineering actual requirements.(3) Proceed optimum calculation for the sensor locations of Ping Sheng Bridge using the program PS-ldg, finally determine the locations of the vibration sensors and strain transducers, by using the sensor get an higher monitoring efficiency and reflect the healthy condition of the bridge roundly, solving the main problems for putting the Health Monitoring System of Ping Sheng Bridge into effect.(4) Analyze the displacement value and the strain value of the sections of the main span, midspan, main pylon and girder when they are used normally in ultimate state. Synthetically consider the effect of variable temperature and wind load on the bridge, finish confirming the safety warning threshold.(5) Analyze each sensor's working principle, observe each datum's variation regulation when we demarcate, finish the standardization of each sensor's zero value.(6) With the knowledge of equipments that are produced and sold in domestic and foreign companies and that can be used to monitor and detect the structure of civil engineering, finish the lectotype and the system design of each hardware of the Health Monitoring System of Ping Sheng Bridge...
