With the global process of industrialization, the demand for energy continues to grow. The damage on the human environment caused by using fossil fuels as the main energy structure, which is the main reasons of air pollution and ecological destruction , is obvious now. To face the pressure of the worldwide energy crisis and the deteriorating environment, people want to use renewable energy resources to take the place of the normal energy resources which are limited and Of environmental pollution. As one of the most abundant renewable energy sources today, solar energy has the advantages of widely distributed, renewable, clean, safe and many other, it becomes an internationally recognized ideal alternative energy sources. Solar photovoltaic grid-connected is a major utilization of solar energy development.Photovoltaic grid-connected system, connected with the public power grid, it is the mainstream of the development trends of current world solar photovoltaic technology. Grid system can achieve power peaking, which makes power to given back to power grid, and makes the power grid as an energy storage device. Compared with independent solar photovoltaic systems, the costs of power generation are significantly reduced. The study on the grid system is of great practical significance.This paper shows the main study on the following aspects:1, introducing the background and the domestic and overseas present status of the research of photovoltaic power generation. Briefly introducing the structure and the type of photovoltaic power generation system, and the advantages and disadvantages of grid power system.2, Photovoltaic array is an important unit of photovoltaic power generation system. Describing the operating characteristics of solar array.3, introducing the type and common operation of grid-connected inverter. Maximum power point tracking is the key issue in photovoltaic power generation system. Based on this, introducing several common MPPT control method in detail. Meanwhile, introducing the islanding protection effect of photovoltaic power generation system.4.4 KW solar photovoltaic system was designed: system power form, array design etc; inverter,solar photovoltaic panels, etc were chosen in this system.5. function of photovoltaic array were analyzed, and the results show that 4 KW solar photovoltaic system can meet the people's power.Year capacity is 2016kw.hAt last, Discussing the design of photovoltaic power generation system, pointing out the problems existing in current photovoltaic power generation system ,and putting forward some suggestions and comments.
