The fibers added into concrete can improve the crack resistance ablility and the toughness of concrete by resisting the emergence and development of the internal microcracks in concrete (FRC). In this theis, the author investigated the uniaxial compressive behavior and uniaxial tensile behavior of steel fiber reinforced concrete. The compression test, with reference to the guideline of CECS13:09 and RILEM, studied the compression behavior of steel fiber reinforced concrete and plain concrete. It calculated and analysed its value of peak stress, peak strian, ultimate strength, ultimate strian and compression toughness according to the steel fiber volume fraction; The results showed that these indexes have been improved with the increase of fiber contents.A series of tests were carried out by using epoxy adhesive method, and discussed the tensile behavior according to the RILEM and German guideline (DIN). It analysed the peak load, peak strian, ultimate strength, ultimate strian of constitutive law and energy absorption; It also analysed the influence of fiber distribution and number of fibers on the tensile behavior. The results showed that these characteristic values have been improved with the increase of fiber contents, and the toughness is directly related to the number of fibers in the fracture section.
