Realize the boiler's optimal operation is the top priority to energy conservation and emissions reduction in the power plant. It not only has positive role to reduce the cost of power generating, improving the competitiveness of the power plant, but also has important strategic significance on the national economy and social sustainable development. Circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler as a sort of advanced inferior coal combustion technology, has been widely used in electric power production field, but the circulating fluidized bed boiler operation efficiency is low, and it still have considerable energy saving space at present.This paper took the boiler efficiency as performance indicators, firstly through comprehensive consideration of the factors which influenced boiler efficiency and the coupling relationship between these factors, established boiler efficiency identification model based on BP neural network. Secondly, determine the optimal target value of boiler operation parameters by using the genetic algorithm (GA) to optimize identification model. Thirdly, through combining the mechanism model and identification model of the boiler efficiency, this paper got a improved model——"grey box" model, which can make the optimum target determination more reasonable. Finally, through the case study, this paper obtained the optimal target value and the corresponded boiler efficiency under different models, and analyzed these models' advantages and shortcomings on the problem of determining the optimal target value of boiler operation parameters based on experimental results.In the end, according the requirements of energy conservation and emissions reduction of the power plant in our country and the CFB boiler power plant's characteristics, the paper completed the CFB energy saving and emission reduction supervisory optimization system. Through applying the optimal target value of boiler operation parameters which got from case study to the system, reasonable perfect the system's management module and performance evaluation module, and further reflect that this research has a realistic meaning for energy conservation and emissions reduction in CFB boiler power plants.
