With the expansion of the scale of engineering, especially large earth dam, filled slope body and other large projects, potential harm to them caused by wetting deformation is increasingly getting the attention of the geotechnical community. Degree of wetting deformation differs in a variety of soil. This dissertation chooses laterite which is a representative of the clay in Jiangxi province as the research object, and explores the wetting deformation of laterite in Jiangxi province through triaxial test.In order to better reveal the characteristics of wetting deformation, experiment is carried out with the triaxial apparatus. Taking into account the different factors which impact on the wetting deformation, Experiment is designed on the ground of different confining pressures, different degrees of compaction, and different deviatoric stress levels of humidification in order to analyze the characteristics of wetting deformation of laterite in multiple angel; repeatedly wetting deformation is also carried out on the soil samples with 0.85 degree of compaction to better simulate the wet-and-dry cycles of soil in actual practice of engineering.Through experimental data analysis, research bodies Turkey triaxial test in the wet phase changes in the parameters, the main analysis of the principal stress difference and the relationship between axial strain, rendering the main stress difference-axial strain curve; analysis of the volumetric strain and axial strain the relationship between the drawn body strain-axial strain curve; analysis of the physical strain and the relationship between the amount of wetting deformation, rendering the body strain and wetting deformation curve; analysis axial deformation of the wet and the wet side of the size of the relationship between stress level, drawing a wet deformation-partial stress level curve, the logarithmic function fitting the curve, the establishment of a wet and wet deformation the constitutive relation between deviatoric stress level; analysis of the deformation and wetting main stress difference and the relationship between confining pressure ratio, the amount of wetting deformation drawn-the main difference between the stress ratio with confining pressure curve, the same logarithmic function fitting the relationship between two quantities to build a functional relationship between the two; contrast to the establishment of two function, two formulas can authenticate each other, indicating that the logarithmic function fitting the axial deformation of the wet and wet the level of deviatoric stress, confining pressure and principal stress difference than the true feasible, it will effectively be wetting deformation quantization formula. Repeatability of experiments found that wet with the axial strain increment tends to decrease the number.While using Duncan-Zhang model to analyze the experiments related to Duncan-Zhang model parameters, the incremental method using the finite element method examples of typical roadbed were calculated, taking into account the different levels of immersion height of the embankment in the displacement and vertical displacement, the major principal stress, the minor principal stress, dike vertical displacement and horizontal displacement effects. The results show that a certain degree of wetting deformation will increase the embankment and dike on the displacement, increased stress and minor principal stress of the main. If the degree of compaction to reach more than 0.9, then the deformation caused by wetting the top of the filling body displacement to meet the specification requirements of the settlement.
