Distributed generation (DG) has been widely used in the deregulated electric power systems for its immense benefits. Studies of distributed generation and its application in electric power system become more important to utilize DG efficient and refine power system operation. Linyi region is rich in wind resources, and is suitable to develop distributed generation, which will have a positive effect on promoting the regional economic development, improving the local energy structure and reducing the environmental pollution.This essay is to analyze the impact of the wind power, with the capacitance of 48.5MW, connected to the Muling Station of Linyi grid. The main task is to complete the model of a double-fed inductive wind turbine, then connect them to Linyi grid structure, and analyze the impact on the grid. When the grid, including the wind power, is in steady state, through the contrast of the system voltage level, harmonic levels, short-circuit current, voltage sag etc, we found that the Grid voltage level of the system is obvious uplift, harmonic level of the system increases to a certain degree, short-circuit current also increased and voltage levels after short-circuit fault have been improved. Also we do some work on the transient time that the wind power connected to the grid, we find that the voltage level is obviously increased, sometimes even cause over-voltage. Besides, this paper discussed the impact of the wind power connected to the grid with different load level.
