With the increasing proportion of photovoltaic(PV)power generation,the capacity of conventional power sources is gradually reduced,which significantly weakens the dynamic voltage regulation capability of the power grid.Therefore,PV power plants must have certain reactive power regulation capabilities and participate in grid voltage control when necessary.From the perspective of PV power plants participating in active voltage regulation control of power grid,this paper focuses on the feasibility and effectiveness of PV power plants participating in power grid voltage regulation,and then proposes a reactive power optimization control strategy for PV power plants to participate in power grid active voltage regulation.It is of great significance to improve the stability and economy of power grid operation and promote the sustainable and healthy development of new energy sources.Firstly,based on the topological structure of the PV power plants,the steady-state operation model of PV power plants is established.On this basis,the reactive voltage regulation characteristics and voltage regulation potential of PV power plants are analyzed,and the feasibility of PV power plants participating in power grid voltage regulation is demonstrated.Secondly,the control patterns of PV power plants participating in power grid voltage regulation are compared and analyzed.The idea and advantages of adopting reverse voltage regulation(active voltage regulation)control for PV power plants are put forward.Using the principle of conventional power supply participating in grid reverse voltage regulation control for reference,the reverse voltage regulation pattern of PV power plants participating in active voltage regulation of the power grid and its implementation method are proposed.Then,in view of the situation that the PV power plants participates in the active voltage regulation control of the power grid,a reactive power optimization control strategy for the PV power plants is proposed.Firstly,the reactive power reference quantity required to maintain the reverse voltage regulation control is obtained through the control strategy based on the voltage of the grid-connected point;Then the multi-objective optimization model is established with the minimum voltage mean square error and the minimum active loss.The Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm(NSGA-II)is used to solve the problem;Finally,the reactive power optimization control strategy of PV power plants participating in the active voltage regulation of the power grid is formed.Finally,based on the grid operation data of Jiajiu District in Gansu Province,the feasibility and effectiveness of the reactive power optimization control strategy of PV power plants participating in the active voltage regulation of the grid are verified by simulation.
