Cases Study Of Soft Soil Reinforcement In Highway Engineerings In Pearl River Delta Area

Guangdong is one of the most economically developed areas in China. Guangdong Province has increased transportation infrastructure investment in recent years, especially in in highway construction investment. Economically developed coastal regions in Guangdong Province,most are in the water network of plain area,with high water table and early geological age of the surface sediment layers,except individual regions. Most of these regions have soft ground structure,high water content, it determines the characteristics of construction of highway in Guangdong Province, which need to be addressed more soft ground section. Highway construction in soft soil, there are poor stability and excessive settlement issues,which affect the quality of project and the normal use of road,which often cause significant economic losses.The paper, takes the Pearl River Delta Road commonly used soft foundation treatment design of the stability and the settlement as the object of study,basing on the soft soil,of the physical parameters of mechanical properties of applications,and use theoretical analysis and engineering practice,and study on the different treatment methods for soft soil foundation stability and settlement calculation method,We draw the following conclusions and results:(1) Based on summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of the existing common soft soil survey technology ,we elaborated the physical, mechanical parameters of soft soil in soft soil foundation treatment method and the corresponding stability and the settlement calculation method of supporting the use of relations,and pointed out the problems needed to pay attention in the application.(2) We have evaluated on the existing common soft foundation settlement calculation method of stability calculation,and detailed summarized the advantages , disadvantages,and of scope of application ofcommonly used soft soil foundation stability and settlement calculation methods,and pointed out the difference of different foundation treatments which was used stability and settlement control index. Then the selection of computational method are not the same. The text mainly introduces the pile composite foundation stability and settlement calculation method and the method of settlement prediction,and applies the post-construction settlement prediction method of evaluation to practical engineerings.(3)Through the three engineerings'construction design, construction experience, the reinforcement effect and detection in Pearl River Delta Road ,finally we summarize the different soft foundation treatment methods advantages and disadvantages, applicability.
