The Static Var Generator (SVG) is one of the Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) equipments controller by parallel connection which can motion compensate the electric network's reactive power,at the same time it can compensate inductive and capacitive reactive power, so SVG becomes one of the most reactive-load compensation equipment in AC transmission system.Therefore, in the power system, SVG is widely used in recent years.In this paper, the development and actuality of reactive power compensation in electric network is presented. It also analyzes the basic principle and mathematical model, which are using three-phase voltage source inverter-based circuit structure of static Var generator devices. Furthermore, control circuit and control software are designed based on TI's digital signal processor TMS320F28335 DSP.Adopting the phase locked loop technique used on data acquisition in power network, which can automatic follow power network's frequency. By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of different control methods, using the instantaneous reactive power theory based on triangular wave direct current control method. This method is conducive to improve the system control accuracy, stability, respond speed.Finally, the simulation software MATLAB7.9 build simulation model, By detailing simulation analysis, the simulation results verify that the whole system structure, current detection, control strategy and parameter calculation method are correct and feasible. In addition, different switching frequencies of inverter output waveforms do a comparative analysis.
