Needle roller bearings with a smaller size and higher carrying capacity, widely used in transportation, household appliances, machinery and other industrial fields.As the main components of needle roller bearings, needle roller diameter precision directly affect the quality of bearing.Therefore, the needle diameter detection is an important problem.At present the majority of manufacturers are using diameter measurement system with contact.The detection speed is slow, low precision and high cost.This paper analyzes the characteristics of the current for the solution of this problem.The projection method program has a strong environmental adaptability, good anti-jamming capability, and low cost.Therefore, this paper use the projection method, use STM32 chip to drive the line array CCD collecting projection signal.After the output signal of the CCD is analog-to-digital converted by STM32, The signal is sent to the host computer by USB communication protocol.The host computer by software for data processing, obtain accurate measured diameter value.The experimental results show that the non-contact diameter measurement system on the needle, can achieve 2~8mm needle precision diameter measurement, the measurement accuracy is higher than 5um, the whole system program to meet the measurement requirements,But in order to achieve higher requirements, we need to upgrade components and optimizing system configuration.This system design has realized the needle non-contact diameter measurement of the overall plan.In the structure, this article first elaborated the detection principle of the projection method, using projection and magnification method to improve detection precision, and the whole system of the optical design, circuit design, CCD-driven design, components of the parameter selection and design of future products of the mechanical drawings;...
